Experience tranquil, coastal life at The Dunes on The Waterfront in Ogunquit. Renovated cottages with one, two, and three bedrooms feature fireplaces and private outdoor areas. Named for Portland’s 19th-century, native poet, the 48-room Longfellow Hotel opened in the city’s hip West End. Onsite highlights include Astraea Spa, Twinflower Café for jamon tortas, and Five of Clubs for charcuterie and caviar service.

The Carolinas

Bordering Great Smoky Mountains National Park less than an hour outside Asheville, Cataloochee Ranch relaunched within the Relais & Châteaux portfolio. New owners renovated its 11 cabins, while The Lodge’s six suites debut early fall. Lowcountry lovers can check into The Dunlin overlooking South Carolina’s Kiawah River beginning August 1. The 72-room Auberge Resort offers 2,000 acres to explore, Aster Spa and multiple Southern-themed restaurants.

Jackson, Wyoming

Ask the staff how The Rusty Parrot Lodge earned its quirky name, especially considering the western locale. The family-owned property, which reopens in July following a fire, has been enlarged to 40 rooms and suites with European touches, plus the bigger Body Sage Spa. Though guests are a stone’s throw from Jackson’s Town Square, they can dine in at Wild Sage Restaurant & Bar.

Upstate New York

Malibu’s luxe wellness retreat expanded east with The Ranch Hudson Valley. Three- to five-night programs for a maximum of 25 guests incorporate hiking in the surrounding, protected forest, yoga in the historic estate’s ballroom, and vegan menus. Reserve The Chatwal Lodge’s new treehouses featuring modern mountain design and decks with fire pits. All-inclusive packages include meals and recreational activities like watersports, stargazing, archery, and croquet.

Newport & Nantucket

Dock at Newport Harbor Island Resort’s 22-slip marina, part of the former Gurney’s property’s $50-million makeover. Dine on 1639’s New England fare, and grab a nightcap in Torpedo Bar & Lounge. Salt Hotels purchased, renovated, and expanded a Nantucket inn as The Brant. The communal concept invites guests to play lawn games in the courtyard and mingle around the pool and at The Barn’s bar.

Located on Palm Beach County’s Singer Island, Amrit Ocean Resort means “elixir of life” in Sanskrit. Its holistic wellness mission carries throughout the seven-acre property’s pillars of fitness, mindfulness, nutrition, relaxation and sleep. The 103,000-square-foot spa spans four floors with amenities such as a 1,200-square-foot hammam, while 155 guestrooms are outfitted for a good night’s rest. Lala serves lunch and dinner, with more dining on deck.
