Canoe Place Inn & Cottages

The Hamptons claims many gorgeous hotels, but travelers who wish to stay at a brand-new property should book accommodations at Canoe Place Inn & Cottages. Located on six acres at the entrance to Long Island’s East End, the restored historic destination dates to the 1600s. Amenities include Good Ground Tavern and Onda Beauty spa.

Spectre Sea

Like Florida, it’s all about getting out on the water in the Hamptons. Bespoke yacht charter firm Spectre Sea customizes excursions on a San Lorenzo SX 88 and Vanquish VQ 40 to popular destinations like Duryea’s Orient Point, Gardiners Island and Sunset Beach. Its fleet returns to Florida and the Caribbean in October.

Shop ‘Til You Drop

The Hamptons’ retail scene heats up in summer. Prada and Valentino unveiled stunning stores, while Chanel pops up in a 19th-century, gray-shingled landmark through Labor Day, and Cartier premiered its Panthere C navy handbag at its temporary boutique until fall. Dior’s Dioriviera beach chic collection is available for season at Gurney’s Montauk, too.

Dining Dash

So many great restaurants, so little time. The Lobster Roll, Sant Ambroeus and Tutto il Giorno opened more locations in the East End. Duryea’s Orient Point introduced a St.Tropez-style beach club. Watch the sunset with an al fresco meal at EHP Resort’s Si Si. Hit farmstands for fresh corn and tomatoes.
