We’re feeling sporty with the Olympic Games about to commence in Tokyo and the recent completion of the Tour de France. Beyond watching these immensely talented athletes, we’re inspired to swim, cycle, run and skateboard ourselves. Here’s a look at new gear and attire, as well as clubs and events to get fit and have fun.

Speedo Swim Goggles

Synonymous with swimming, Speedo timed the introduction of several innovations for the Olympics. To complement its Fastskin racing suits’ new fabrics and colors, it launched Fastskin Hyper Elite goggles. Their design marries function and comfort through hydroscopic, anti-fog lenses with UV protection, interchangeable nose bridges and a patented, one-piece racing strap with IQfit tensioning scale for personal fit adjustment.

Salvation Army Kettle Krush 5K

The Salvation Army of Broward County’s Kettle Krush 5K departs Deerfield Beach’s Quiet Waters Park on July 24, at 7 a.m. The fourth annual fundraiser invites participants of all ages to don Christmas-themed attire and walk or run the course in person or virtually. Registrants receive T-shirts, and an awards ceremony follows for winners by age group and other categories.

Ralph Lauren for Team USA

One doesn’t have to compete in this year’s Olympics or Paralympic Games to sport Team USA’s opening ceremony parade uniforms. Designer Ralph Lauren offers the capsule collection at select stores and online. Shop dozens of men’s and women’s pieces, such as single-breasted blazers in Montana-sourced wool adorned with official patches, jeans, tracksuits, polo shirts, tie-dyed sweatshirts and accessories.

Squash & Tennis Lessons

Learn or brush up on racket sports at top facilities around Florida. Squash Space Coast gives beginner lessons for players aged 10 and up at its outdoor courts in Titusville; all equipment is provided. Located in Pinecrest, the private Royal Palm Tennis Club invites non-members including juniors and adults to take tennis lessons on its collection of clay courts.

Nike Skateboarding Style

Nike’s online store released some of its official gear for the Olympic skateboarding teams for Japan, France, Brazil and the U.S. Dutch artist and skater Piet Parra designed multiple outfits and accessories from hats to his SB Dunk Low Pro “Abstract Art” sneaker in vibrant solids and prints. Items also feature birds that represent each country like roosters and toucans.

Cycling Clubs

Start peddling. The Treasure Coast Cycling Association organizes multiple weekly rides for its members in Martin, St. Lucie and Palm Beach counties, as well as participates in regular events hosted by Cycling Across America (CAAM). The Miami outpost of Rapha cycling boutique and clubhouse also schedules regular rides to destinations like Key Biscayne, the Venetian Islands and the Deering Estate.
