The 20th-century mastermind behind the famous locks of Jackie O, Lauren Bacall, Gloria Vanderbilt, Marilyn Monroe and so many others is the subject of a new biography. “Kenneth: Shear Elegance” covers the extraordinary career of hair stylist to the stars Kenneth Battelle (a.k.a. Mr. Kenneth), a New Yorker who got his start at a Miami salon and died in 2013 at the age of 86.
