Sotheby’s private sales division is heading south with the snowbirds. Following a summerlong Hamptons pop up, its roving gallery opens at Palm Beach’s Royal Poinciana Plaza on November 7. The comprehensive assortment culls auction highlights and other works for sale across multiple categories from contemporary art to handbags. Designed by Aussie twins, David Michael Jewels (pictured) kicks off its monthly trunk shows for haute jewelry.

NY Gallery Pop Ups

Sotheby’s isn’t the only art world player taking the Palm Beach bait. Pace and Acquavella galleries also debut locations at the Royal this month. James Turrell’s trio of unique aperture wall installations (pictured) inaugurates the former, while the latter shows “Masterworks: From Cézanne to Thiebaud.” Lehmann Maupin bows on a Worth Avenue corner November 19, with Paula Cooper’s nearby space slated for early December.

Chihuly at The Baker Museum

Need a reason for a road trip? The Baker Museum at Artis—Naples reopened for its 20th season with a bang. The anniversary celebration unveils the art museum’s expansion and renovation as well as “Dreaming Forms: Chihuly Then and Now.” On view through February 2021, the exhibit weaves together glass artist Dale Chihuly’s signature series and premieres his large-scale installation Gilded Fiori Boat pictured here.

PAMM Reopens

Pérez Art Museum Miami has carefully orchestrated its re-emergence from the shutdown. Members, first responders and healthcare workers are invited to a preview from November 5-6, before PAMM reopens to the public on November 7. NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale News

From exhibits to donations, NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale has a ton of big news. Fashion fans were elated to hear it snagged Anna Sui’s retrospective that originated at London’s Fashion and Textile Museum. You’ll have to wait until winter to see it but can visit group show “New Art South Florida” starting November 21. The Jerry Taylor & Nancy Bryant Foundation also donated $1.6 million.

Raúl de Nieves Survey

Here’s the perfect opportunity to visit the restructured Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami under the leadership of Chana Budgazad Sheldon. “Eternal Return and The Obsidian Heart” is Mexican multimedia artist Raúl de Nieves’s most comprehensive survey to date. If his name rings a bell, he made a splash for his carousal parked in Faena Hotel’s lobby for Art Basel two years ago.
