The Bass

The Bass museum welcomes a maximum of 25 visitors at a time starting September 16 (reservations recommended). Mexican artist Carlos Amorales supplies complimentary face masks to take a work of art home with you. On view: super-hot artist Mickalene Thomas’s “Better Nights,” as well as “Open Storage” and “The Willfulness of Objects,” two exhibits of new acquisitions and permanent and loaned works.

Stuart Art Scene

Stuart Art Supply allows two masked customers at a time. The shop has serviced the area’s creative set for well over 50 years. Next door, the Artists’ Nook Studio teaches art classes in several mediums. The Arts Council of Martin County presents the 30th annual All Florida Juried Art Show at the Court House Cultural Center Gallery from October 13 to December 12.

Margulies Auction for Lotus Village

Martin Margulies is auctioning works from his private art collection for Lotus Village. All proceeds from 50 works by 35 artists benefit the women and children’s homeless shelter. Many are contemporary photographs such as Doug Hall’s depiction of Death Valley, California, pictured here. They’ll be displayed for bids from September 16 to October 16 at Margulies Collection at the Warehouse.

Palm Beach Photographic Centre

Though West Palm Beach’s Norton Museum of Art remains closed, the nearby Palm Beach Photographic Centre’s museum recently began accepting masked visitors. Its current juried exhibition features members’ photographs through October 24. Among the portraits, still lifes and landscapes, we spotted this aerial view of Miami Beach’s South Pointe Park and Pier. The shop is also open, while classes continue online.

Foosaner Art Museum

Part of the Florida Institute of Technology, the Foosaner Art Museum is located in Melbourne’s Eau Gallie Arts District. Its galleries are operating at 50 percent occupancy, so plan accordingly when visiting for “Animal Nature: Recent Works by Linda Mitchell.” The Southern artist’s multimedia works that use wood to found objects are on view through October 24.

Locust Projects

Miami alternative art space Locust Projects opened by appointment only. Three projects premiere mid-month through October 24. Video installation “Juana Valdes: Rest Ashore,” pictured, comments on the Cuban migration, while Raúl Romero recorded his native Puerto Rico’s coquí frogs for a mobile, interactive sound transmission station. “Tally Saves the Internet” invites viewers to download a web-based game about surveillance.
