High Five

Founded in 1965, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County is the nation’s fifth largest chapter. The charity benefits from the 14th annual Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance at the Boca Raton Resort & Club on February 7-9. Festivities include an airport hangar party, black-tie gala, and exquisite automobile and motorcycle competition.

South American Style

Silvia Tcherassi stepped up her Florida footprint. Following two locations in Coral Gables, the Colombian fashion designer popped up in Bal Harbour Shops through May. Shop her resort and spring collections inspired by the desert and Caribbean, respectively. Faena Bazaar travels to Brazil on February 11. Its themed shopping party offers brands such as Iorane and Barbara Bela as well as Brazilian refreshments.

Tunes & Trees

Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale hopes to create a new local tradition with its inaugural New River Fest in Esplanade Park on February 8 from 6-9 p.m. The family-friendly event features live music, bites, a beer garden and VIP area aboard Charter One Yachts’ Summer Wind. Residents of Wilton Manors are also invited to Mickel Park for the city’s annual Free Tree Giveaway on Saturday.

Gnocchi to Know

Miami Shores has a new cute eatery that’s attracting diners outside the neighborhood. They’re coming to Amaránthine for Mediterranean recipes made just like back home in the mother country. Everyone’s breaking her diet for gnocchi with goat cheese, figs and truffles—and for good reason. Other hits are the 14-oz. rib eye and catch of the day.
