Future of Fairs

Art Basel Hong Kong may be canceled, but the show goes on through its new online viewing rooms. Ninety percent of the fair’s exhibitors are currently participating in the VIP preview, upon which the digital initiative opens to the public from March 20-25. Collectors can virtually browse thousands of artworks from galleries like Hong Kong-based Galerie du Monde, which highlights six post-war abstract artists.

Donation Demands

Local charities need donations more than ever. United Way revamped its VolunteerMiami portal to help the most vulnerable with meals to medical attention. The American Red Cross of Greater Miami and The Keys scheduled an emergency blood drive on March 20. Lotus House requested extra funds, volunteers and supplies such as surgical masks and infrared thermometers. Feeding South Florida called for donations, too.
