Though many more luxury properties are slated to launch throughout 2023, we’re focusing on those that are currently accepting reservations or plan to open by the end of February. Nobu Hotel Marrakech

Nobu Hotel Marrakech, the brand’s hotel division’s foray in Africa, brings its Asian aesthetic to the Moroccan city. French architect and designer Jacques Garcia is among the team tapped to reimagine the legendary Pearl Hotel with Japanese meets Baroque elements. Guests of its 71 rooms will enjoy three swimming pools and naturally, Nobu restaurant.


The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, Auberge Resorts

A popular stop for weary travelers in central California’s Santa Ynez Valley since the 19th century, the Inn at Mattei’s Tavern has received a 21st-century revamp within the Auberge Resorts Collection portfolio. The 67-room landmark remains the perfect oasis to relax around the pool or fire pit after a day of wine tastings.


Portrait Milano

With its five-star status and dreamy locale—a converted seminary dating to 1564—Portrait Milano hotel could be a “White Lotus” set. Shoe scion Leonardo Ferragamo’s latest addition to his luxury Lungarno Collection features 73 rooms and a handful of restaurants and bars. Swim in the underground pool, and shop at his daughter’s first boutique soon.


Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo Panama

Inspired by the iconic Panama Canal through its Pacific Ocean perch and maritime décor, Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo Panama opens in its historic namesake neighborhood in January. The 159-room property’s French provenance is also addressed in wrought-iron balconies, marble checkerboard floors and the spa’s KOS Paris products. Watch the sunset from many vantages, including Ammi rooftop bar.


Waldorf Astoria Cancun

It’s all about the signature spa at the recently unveiled Waldorf Astoria Cancun situated on 100 tropical acres dotted with private beaches. The resort’s star attraction offers 21 treatment rooms (13 outdoor, 8 indoor) for a spa menu that focuses on native healing practices and ingredients. Each of its 173 rooms features a balcony and soaking tub.


Mii Amo

Following a two-year closure for a much-needed makeover, Mii Amo reopens in Arizona’s mystical red rocks region of Sedona in February. Some $40 million of upgrades greatly expanded its destination spa, whose new menu offers jojoba body butter wraps and connection ceremonies. Guests are further pampered with a new fitness center and upgraded casitas and suites.
