My, how time flies. The Fourth of July is already here, ushering in the summer months and everything there is to savor here in South Florida from ripe mangoes fresh off the tree to lazy days reading by the pool. Here’s a look at what to wear, eat and do during this festive week. Happy Independence Day!

Fourth Festivities
Many other celebrations are planned. Fairchild Garden’s daytime event features a kids’ parade with face painting, a brass band, festive accessories and popsicles, followed by a barbecue lunch. Vero Beach’s “Boom on the Lagoon” begins at 5 p.m. at Riverside Park. Prior to fireworks, activities include children’s games, music and food trucks.
