The Scoop | Week of October 12

It’s always fun to see which new stores open for season, a cycle that has ramped up as more New Yorkers and Californians relocate to ONE Sotheby’s markets throughout Florida. Here are some of our top picks to add to your shopping rounds, though we certainly couldn’t get to all of them. We also feature a couple key shopping events. More style news to come!

Fivestory New York

When you spot the turquoise awning along Palm Beach’s Royal Poinciana Way, pull over for some of the best shopping south of New York. The legendary Fivestory NY boutique opened a store on the island for women’s designer fashion labels like Prabal Gurung and Róhe, as well as accessories, vintage and home.

Hermès is among several new luxury tenants at Aventura Mall. The equestrian-inspired, French maison decorated its 7,400-square-foot store in an explosion of pink from terrazzo to cherry wood to leather furniture. It carries 20 categories, including iconic silk scarves, sneakers with metal Kelly buckles and if lucky, the rare Della Cavalleria handbag pictured.

Boucheron & Maria Tash

Forever a fine jewelry lover’s paradise, Florida added even more selections to its treasure trove. Boucheron modeled its shop in shop at Saks Fifth Avenue Bal Harbour after its Parisian flagship. Known for curated, multi-piercing services and signature, delicate pieces, Maria Tash (New York, U.K., U.A.E.) also expanded to Bal Harbour. |

Lola Dré Loves Dogs

Fashion and furry friends come together at Jupiter, Fla.-based Lola Dré boutique’s “For the Love of Dogs” shopping initiative on October 14, from 5-8 p.m. Twenty percent of proceeds from in-store and online sales goes toward Big Dog Ranch Rescue. The fun girls’ night out features personal styling, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. |

Looking for some stylish fall specs? Named after Mardi Gras parade societies, New Orleans-born eyewear brand Krewe is making the rounds. Its traveling tiny home parked in the Miami Design District at 95 NE 40th Street through late October, upon which it relocates to another location in the city for season.

Bespoke Bal Harbour

With attention to craftsmanship all the rage, Bal Harbour Shops honors artisans with Bespoke Bal Harbour from October 21-24. Dozens of the center’s stores including Prada, Roger Vivier and Harry Winston will host in-store activations and custom experiences for shoppers to learn more about the behind-the-scenes process and come away with something special.
