One can only do so much over Zoom. Wine tastings just aren’t the same, for example. After having our fill of virtual events, we’re so excited to get back to in-person, major events that lead up to Art Basel Miami Beach and holiday festivities. Here’s a look at some festivals celebrating everything from fall to food and wine. Cheers.
Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show
Touted as the largest in-water boat show worldwide, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show anchors watercraft and marine products of all kinds throughout the city from October 27-31. Highlights of its 62nd edition include the Superyacht Village, Winward VIP Experience and yacht firms’ special packages like Northrup & Johnson’s first-ever N&J Signature Experience.
There’s no shortage of fall cheer in Florida. Palm Beach Gardens’ Fall Festival on October 23 features food trucks to spooky stories, while Rockin’ H Ranch hosts its inaugural Fall Festival on October 30. Pick up pumpkins at Rosemary Square’s patch, and parade in Stuart’s Hobglobins on Main Street on October 30.

Miami Book Fair
After a period of virtual author talks, bibliophiles are ecstatic for the IRL Miami Book Fair from November 14-21. The revered literary powwow features a lineup of heavy hitters, too. Some are Lauren Groff (Matrix), Amor Towles (The Lincoln Highway), Ada Ferrer (Cuba: An American History) and Mitch Albom (The Stranger in the Lifeboat).
Las Olas Food & Wine Festival
The Las Olas Food & Wine Festival returns for in-person tastings and revelry on the evening of November 19. Its 25th anniversary extends four blocks of the iconic boulevard, where more than 50 restaurants and 40 international wineries will dish and pour their best to benefit the American Lung Association.
Stuart Air Show
Support nonprofits like the Special Olympics and United Way by attending the Stuart Air Show at Witham Field from November 12-14. Watch a number of performers including the USAF F-16 Demo Team and P-51 Tuskegee Airmen Red Tail Squadron, and mingle with them, too, at the ticketed opening night party with dinner and fireworks.
Live music is back in big form at two festivals. LVMH’s Virgil Abloh, the Strokes and Wu-Tang Clan are among dozens of acts during the Wynwood-based III Points Music Festival from October 22-23. Tulum, Mexico-born music festival Art With Me debuts in Miami’s Virginia Key Beach Park from November 26-28.
