As all of us adjust to a new reality in the face of the pandemic, we at ONE Sotheby’s International Realty are doing our best to provide helpful suggestions for you and your loved ones to stay healthy, comfortable and positive. We look forward to sharing our social distancing methods regarding cuisine and farm-fresh ingredients, wellness and beauty, shopping and essential services, charity and community engagement, and culture and entertainment during this difficult time. Stay safe.

Mother May I

Mother’s Day is around the corner, and local accessories designers are offering generous incentives to treat mom (and yourself). Hunting Season, whose luxury handbags in calf leather, exotic skins and woven platano are crafted in Colombia, features a 2-for-1 promotion through May 7. Known for chic minimalism, Kult Jewelry discounts its holiday edit for haute mamas by 25 percent.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

Speaking of moms, the mother of farm-to-table dining Alice Waters and her daughter Fanny Singer are going live via Crowdcast on May 2, to celebrate Singer’s new book “Always Home: A Daughter’s Recipes and Stories.” They’ll discuss family feasts, travels and insight into the culinary world. Singer grew up in California, where her mother founded Chez Panisse restaurant. Register here.

Golf and Tennis, Anyone?

Golfers and tennis lovers are welcome to play at public facilities again. Premier venues such as the Miami Beach Golf Club and Flamingo Park Tennis Center reopened with restrictions for the pandemic. For example, the latter only permits hour-long singles’ games and one-on-one lessons. Check for additional safety measures before booking.
