CBD oil is a hot topic these days, so it’s inevitable that the natural elixir should find its way into spa services. The Spa at Miami Beach Edition introduces two CBD-infused treatments timed for Miami Spa Month, which actually runs from July 1 through the end of August. CBD oil is used for medium and deep pressure massages during the CBD + Sticks & Stones service. From the heated sticks and stones to the oil’s tranquil effects, individuals and couples will relax in total bliss. Technicians also incorporate CBD oil into the spa’s regular “triple therapy” service. Guests receive a massage, pedicure and biotic wave nap within the heavenly experience that lasts 2.5 hours. Other spa promotions that don’t involve CBD oil are a detoxifying body mask of French green clay, seaweed and peppermint with an upper-body massage; luxuriously long-lasting mani/pedi with Le Labo’s Black Tea infusions; anti-aging facial with vitamin C and microcurrent lift that builds collagen, and plant-based floral facial with deep conditioning hair mask and scalp massage. Even better, spa month packages throw in a complimentary pass for a beach chaise to continue the pampering. Along with a good book, we can’t imagine a better way to spend a summer day.

Avocado Grill, a popular farm-to-table restaurant with two locations in Palm Beach County, renovated its original flagship in downtown West Palm Beach. Chef owner Julien Gremaud scheduled the makeover as part of the restaurant’s fifth anniversary celebration. Since it opened, the city has exploded with local artists and craftsmen. His objection was to collaborate with them on the new design, a move that not only brightens his diners’ experience but his talented team’s workplace. Some featured local makers are Flower and Fringe for greenery and arrangements, Soulful Things’ macramé wares, woodwork by HellBent Custom Garage and a stunning seashell chandelier from Massimo Frank Lighting. Hands-on with the project, Gremaud shows that he’s equally creative in the dining room as the kitchen. Good thing he added more indoor and outdoor seating while at it too, since the place is already packed with patrons checking out the new look.

June may be known as wedding month, but Pronovias is hosting the grand opening of its first Florida bridal salon in Coral Gables on July 10, followed by a trunk show from July 11-20. Next year’s brides will be able to peruse gowns from the Spanish designer brand’s Cruise 2020 collection, whose exclusive styles include the Ladder, Poetess, Sun Moon and the Universe. Based in Barcelona, the company has become a leader in the high-end bridal niche for impeccable service that alleviates the stress of planning a wedding as well as intimate boutiques that feel like personal residences with the latest tech from iPads to LED screens. Appointments aren’t rushed either, since stylists are rewarded by client reviews. New dresses come out quarterly, in addition to capsule collections, and orders can be filled in as little as six weeks by seamstresses in Spain. Stylists take care of alterations and finishing the total look with veils, headwear and shoes at the store.

Here’s a quick guide for tips on spending the Fourth of July in style. Pérez Art Museum Miami invites members to watch Biscayne Bay’s fireworks show from its perfectly situated terrace. Attendees will also be treated to live music by South Florida band The Details. Try the Lincoln Eatery food hall’s new barbecue spot called Smoke’d. The Miami Beach newcomer hosts its grand opening on July 4, so stop by for hot dogs and hamburgers. Other menu items are 18-hour-smoked brisket, Texas-style half chicken, coleslaw and cornbread. Stuart switched up its annual, all-day festivities at Flagler Park by adding a performance from the Stuart Air Show. Pilots will perform tricks in various aircraft such as a single-engine North American T-6 Texan. Afterward, head to the Riverwalk Stage for Emily Brooke Band. Food to face painting is also available at the family-friendly event.
