With nonstop events, the Royal Poinciana Plaza has transformed into Palm Beach’s town square. This weekend brings several exciting reasons to pop over. Cameron Silver, the glamorous proprietor of Los Angeles’s premier designer vintage store Decades, is setting up shop in Serenella boutique. His curated corner features vintage fashions by Versace, Chanel and Alexander McQueen, among others, from January 12-13. He’s also available by appointment for styling sessions. The adjacent Gavlak Gallery hosts his book signing for Decades: A Century of Fashion on Friday night. Virginia Philip Wine, Spirits & Academy invites master fusion chef Chris Paul—one of only seven certified worldwide—for its ticketed chef series class. If you’re wondering what that means, master fusion chefs specialize in intimate home dining, private parties and wine pairings.

Famous for its star-bedazzled sneakers, Italy’s Golden Goose Deluxe Brand launched a Bal Harbour boutique. Founding designers Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo have evolved their celebrity-endorsed kicks into a full-blown fashion house with clothing and accessories for men, women and children. Shop Miami-friendly looks such as newly unveiled boat shoes and boho silk frocks with ornate patchwork to get a jumpstart on spring. While at Bal Harbour Shops, also gorge on cool treats for a cause this weekend. Its second annual Ice Cream We Love benefits Jackson Health Foundation’s Holtz Children’s Hospital. Along with 18 local ice cream shops, there are out-of-town purveyors like Minnesota mainstay Izzy’s Ice Cream and Brooklyn’s Ample Hills Creamery, which is touted as one of the world’s top makers. Purchase tickets for either day here.

Maryland import Loch Bar is so authentic that the restaurant brought the state’s official dessert. Smith Island cake, which hails from its namesake locale in the Chesapeake Bay, is America’s humbler version of a French mille-feuille pastry—chocolate ganache (or traditionally fudge) oozes from multiple, thin layers of classic yellow cake. The seafood-centric menu lists the immensely moist sweet, so save room after devouring shellfish towers, Russian sturgeon Osetra caviar and regional seafood dishes like Maryland crab cakes with Old Bay seasoning and remoulade. Lighter appetites can order crab Louis salad and scallop carpaccio with Castelvetrano olives and almonds. Casual fare ranges from shrimp po’boys to Funky Buddha beer-battered fish and chips. The same hospitality group operates a sister location for its original, Greek-inspired Ouzo Bay at Mizner Park.

Art fair fever continues long after Basel. The organizers of Art Miami present Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary through January 13 in a grand tent (825 South Dixie Highway at Okeechobee Boulevard) in West Palm Beach. The county’s first-rated art fair culls nearly 70 international galleries representing various niches from blue chip to emerging contemporary artists. South Florida participants include Sponder Gallery from Boca Raton and Blue Gallery from Delray Beach. Hop aboard shuttles to Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens for satellite exhibits, “Contours in Metal: Sculpture by Gino Miles” and “Murano Mosaics: Persistence and Evolution.” Founded in 1952, the annual Beaux Arts Festival of Art returns to the University of Miami from January 12-13. The juried outdoor art show also features student works, family activities and the Beaux Arts Ball.
